Documentation
Everything you need to understand how messages are priced, sent and tracked.
Segments
A plain-text message fits 160 characters in one segment; longer messages are split into 153-character segments. Emoji and other non-GSM characters reduce this to 70 and 67.
Pricing
Each destination has a price per segment. Total cost = price per segment × segments.
Statuses
Pending, Sent, Delivered, Failed and Rejected. Rejected means the message never left Sendly — your balance is not charged.
Sender rules
Some destinations require a registered sender ID or a local number. Sendly selects a permitted sender automatically and blocks sends that cannot be delivered compliantly.
